“First
class.” Independent on Sunday
“Gorgeous stuff, with good special effects and enough
magic and mystery to keep even the most cynical kid enthralled.”
Daily Express
“Sunday drama just like it used to be...lovely.”
Sunday Express
“It has great charm. It is expensively beautiful to look at,
lushly filmed, impeccably acted, with great seriousness and concentration
from everyone involved. Just as important as charm, it has emotional
complexity. Issues of sadness, abandonment, friendship and fear are
presented here, but not - as too often in material aimed at children
- in the guise of a thinly veiled moral tract, but in an imaginative
context, full of energy and enchantment.” Daily Mail
“We’re spellbound by The Magician’s House.”
