A joint venture between Kudos Film and Television and Shine Group comedy label Brown Eyed Boy, Kudos Brown Eyed Boy Scotland launched in March 2011. The company aims to work with local Scottish on and off screen talent across comedy and drama building on the successful Scottish-based Kudos productions such as Lip Service. Headed by Jemma Rodgers (Wedding Belles, Pulling, The League of Gentlemen, Murphy's Law) who joined to found the venture from BBC Scotland. At the BBC Jemma was responsible for in-house network comedy productions, plus local radio and television comedy development and production. A former independent producer, Rodgers has an extensive track record spanning both comedy and drama, including multi-award winning shows such as The League of Gentleman, Double Take and the Pulling Special and drama credits that include Wedding Belles, God On Trial, New Town and Murphy's Law.
