Head of ProductionAlison trained as a Stage Manager in theatre and opera. In 1979 she went to BBC television in studio management and then joined the Drama Series and Serials department as an AFM and later as a Location Manager. Her final production there was Edge of Darkness, directed by Martin Campbell and produced by Michael Wearing. As a freelance location manager and production manager she worked on numerous productions including Beeban Kidron's first feature film Vroom. As a line-producer, Alison has worked with some inspirational names in the industry, including Stephen Poliakoff on his controversial film, Close my Eyes, as well as enjoying a long working relationship with Dennis Potter as his Production Manager and later as his Associate Producer, on Secret Friends, Lipstick on your Collar, Midnight Movie and Karaoke & Cold Lazarus.
Alison worked with Verity Lambert and Joanna Lumley on The Cazalets and travelled to Prague to line-produce Oliver Twist for ITV in 1998. In August 2001 she returned to the Czech capital for the Granada Television remake of Dr Zhivago. She first worked with Jane Featherstone in 1999 when Jane produced Glasgow Kiss, written by Stephen Greenhorn. Alison then rejoined Jane to line-produce the second series of Spooks and the first series of Hustle, before going on to work with Nigel Stafford Clark on the award-winning Bleak House.
Alison joined Kudos in 2005 as Head of Production where she oversees all television output, including the critically acclaimed Spooks, Hustle, Life on Mars, MI High, The Fixer, Ashes to Ashes, Moving Wallpaper, Tsunami: The Aftermath, and The Doctor Who Hears Voices.
