Executive Producer Having graduated from Manchester University, Karen started out as a Drama Development Assistant at World Productions, working for Tony Garnett. She then worked freelance in production on various dramas, including This Life, Undercover Heart and City Central. Karen went on to work as a Script Editor at The Bill for Thames Television for almost two years. Following that, she worked in the Drama Series Department at the BBC, where she script-edited Murder in Mind, together with various other development projects.

In 2001, Karen joined Kudos to script edit the first series of Spooks. After then script editing Spooks II and Hustle, Karen became Producer on Hustle II. Following that, she became an Executive Producer for the company, working on Hustle, Scars, Holby Blue I & II, The Doctor Who Hears Voices, Spooks: Code 9 and Hustle 5.
